Alexander von Humboldt

He was supposed to follow in his father's footsteps, who was a Prussian officer, but the private tutor saw in Alexander above all a "head unwilling to learn" who preferred to collect plants and shells. At ten he was making maps of the planetary system and the American continent. Later he travels to America himself and writes down everything that strikes him there. The conclusions he draws from this are revolutionary. And his books are still read today. He was the first environmentalist - more than 250 years ago!
Little People, Big Dreams tells the impressive life stories of great people: each of these personalities, whether artist, pilot, athlete or scientist, has achieved the unimaginable. And yet it all began when they were still small: with big dreams.
