Children grow up way too quickly—and often, their favourite items are far too precious to simply disappear into the closet.

With ReKind, we want to give high-quality children's clothing, shoes, and select accessories a second life. Instead of flea market stress, endless messages, and shipping packages, you can simply return your pre-loved favourites to us—and someone else will enjoy them again.

We preferentially accept brands that we also carry ourselves, as well as selected other labels that fit our range and our understanding of quality, durability and sustainability — for baby and children's clothing up to size 156.

Each item is carefully inspected, washed, and lovingly refurbished or repaired as needed before being offered for sale again.

Our ReKind Categories

Depending on their condition, we assign items to one of three categories:

• gently worn — barely worn, very good condition
• well loved — visibly worn, but still beautiful and high-quality
• full of stories — clearly worn with minor signs of wear and lots of character

We categorize the items—and we're happy to decide with you in person.

Here's how it works

Pricing is based on the original retail price, the current condition of the item, and comparable offers in stores and online.
After a successful sale, you'll receive a corresponding store credit for your next purchase with us:

• gently worn — 25%
• well loved — 20%
• full of stories — 15%

After a successful sale, the corresponding store credit will be added to your account, and you will be notified by email. The store credit is then valid for 6 months and can be redeemed both online and in-store.

Example

Let's say you bring us a pair of Gray Label leggings in size 3-6 months.
The current retail price for this style is €36.00.

Depending on the condition of your favourite item, you'll receive a corresponding store credit after a successful sale:

• gently worn – meaning in very good, barely worn condition:
  You'll receive 25% of the retail price, so €9.00.
  
• well loved – with light stains or minimal signs of wear:
  ou will receive 20% of the retail price, so €7.20.
  
• full of stories – for example, small holes or more noticeable stains that we can lovingly repair or mend:
  You will receive 15% of the retail price, so €5.40.
  

Sale Period

The items will remain on sale for an initial period of 6 months.
Afterwards, they will be offered at a reduced price for a further 3 months.
Should an item not be sold after that, you can pick it up again or we will pass it on to the Caritas Association Düsseldorf e.V. so that it can continue to bring joy.

Of course, you can return your items at any time during the sale period. Collection from our store is completely free of charge.* Return shipping costs will apply.

Should an item remain unsold after the sales period has ended, we will of course inform you in advance. If there is no response or collection within 14 days, the items will be donated to Caritas Düsseldorf.

* If items are picked up before the end of the sales period or before a potential donation, fees may apply for any processing, cleaning, or repairs already carried out. This covers the effort we have already invested in the ReKind process. We appreciate your understanding.

Year-Round Acceptance

Thanks to our extended sales period, you can drop off your summer and winter clothing with us at any time—regardless of the current season. This gives your items plenty of time to find their perfect new owners.

Important information

Please only bring freshly washed, complete, and well-preserved items.

Since we carefully curate our selection, we reserve the right to decline items based on brand, condition, season, or demand.

All items are handled with the utmost care. However, we cannot accept liability for loss or damage during storage, display, or fitting.

Please note that all ReKind items are non-returnable after purchase. In exceptional cases, an exchange may be possible by prior arrangement.
